Various Artists 'Beer For My Horses' Soundtrack

h3]Beer For My Horses Bottom Line: Perhaps one of the most anticipated movies of the year has been Beer For My Horses. It may not be as clean as the television series, The Dukes Of Hazzard, but putting Toby Keith, Rodney Carrington and Ted Nugent on the same screen, the outcome is going to be interesting. With that said, the soundtrack is just as full of action as the movie, but the music can go anywhere you want it to.

When Toby Keith first tried his hand in Nashville, he probably never dreamed he would one day be featured in a major motion picture. Now, that has happened not once, but twice. Originally he was just a simple country music singer just trying to be heard. Struggling to even get a record deal, Toby realized it was not going to be an easy ride. Once he landed that life changing deal, he was still an "outcast" for many years in Nashville. If the truth was told, he probably still is to this day.
Once he reached the "superstar" status, Toby decided he was going to start up his own label, featuring the music he wanted to play, and the acts he wanted to promote. After this mission was set in stone, there was no stopping him. Now, his label, Show Dog Nashville, has some of the hottest new acts coming out of Music City. These groups consist of rockin' country, full of attitude and style. They may not be for everyone, but it is safe to say that more people will be listening in shortly.
When Toby Keith and Willie Nelson released "Beer For My Horses," everyone knew it would be a huge hit, but now that it is a movie, the sky is the limit. Throughout the whole CD, there is quality entertainment from the legends to the up-and-comers. One thing is for sure, if the movie is half as good as the music, it will be well worth the price to get both.

Beer For My Horses - The Songs:

The first tune off the soundtrack is the song that got it all started. It's the original version with both Toby Keith and Willie Nelson. One thing is for sure, this song will never get old. They state the facts and their opinions which clearly is shared by more people than just them.
"Off The Hillbilly Hook" is the second tune. It is a fun song that is more like an anthem than anything. If you haven't seen the video, you need to put it at the top of your list.
Ted Nugent is not just one of the main characters in the movie, he also has a couple songs that are on the album. The first one is his classic "Cat Scratch Fever." If someone took a poll one day of the most famous songs in history, this one would be close to the top.
An artist who never gets the recognition he deserves is Mel Tillis. Finally, he can be heard on here singing his smash hit "Burning Memories." Mel's voice has only gotten better with time.

If you are not familiar with Rodney Carrington, you need to be. He is one of the funniest men in entertainment. Some of his material is crude to say the least, but it is hilarious, and people eat it up. One track that he sings is "Show Them To Me." I can't go into detail as to what it is about. Just use your imagination. If nothing comes to mind, don't listen to the song.
This is a great record that would be perfect for any road trip or party. It is rockin' all the way through.
