Quite incorrect actually. The dfifference is not minimal and this isn't just a "speed bump". If you read up on the Yonah and Merom chip architectures, you'll see that that Merom has significant architectural improvements over Yonah, including a 4MB L2 cache and most notably 64-bit support over Yonah's 32-bit support. This is very significant since Jobs is pushing Leopard and its 64-bit goodness. :cool:

Merom's power is limited by slower FSB which is not going to see any change anytime soon. I just hope they fix current MBP issues first like battery life, underclocked graphic card and Superdrives. CPU upgrade is just a ritual Apple has to perform to stay in the league.

Sorry, Apple -- I'm not going to sign a 2 year service agreement to buy a phone that has reception issues, is made of a shatter-prone material, and cannot access high-speed data.
There's no point to this update, just like there was no point to the 3GS update. In this case, it's arguably worse because -- given the rollout of 4G/LTE currently ongoing and the publicity surounding the poor antenna of the iP4 -- it's fairly safe to assume that the next iPhone will address at least 2 of the above issues.

They need to allow for updates via App Store that don't require full redownload of the software before they can make it exclusive. Especially in today's age of capping home internet usage (biggest croc ever conceived), smaller updates need to be possible. Perfect example: XCode.

One would be in form of Airport that we can stream video to my TV on the entertainment room.
The other way an stand alone hardware with huge HD space, outputs to my TV , receiver, PVR, Superdrive, remote control and a way to hook up to the net to access Itunes Movie and Music store for downloads.
I do think the Airport is a more feasible option. But I do like a lot the idea of a stand alone media center. Well, let's wait and see.

Double the pixel density on the 11.4" MBA screen, and I will pay $3k for that computer on the spot (even if I just upgraded to the Sandy Bridge version the week before). The stunning display on the iPhone 4 put them into a class unmatched by their rivals.
I can't wait...even if it still takes years to trickle down to the MBA. Someday all computer screens will have Retina Displays (and we will only see screens where the pixels are visible in a museum). Although I may be dead by then... :)

Is the law suit really about the 'looks' ?
Ok, after reading a bit more about this law suit it seems to be really more or less about the 'look and feel' .... while it is probably annoying for Apple that they decided for a very similar look and feel, I'm not sure that this is enough for a law suit - not that I know much about patent law, but it just sounds stupid.

Not cool. Coming from an iPhone 3GS, I seriously don't want to wait.
Same here, out of contract with a 3GS. I'm not about to buy an Iphone 4 or wait another year.
If they don't release one this year I may have to try an android based phone with flash !

I also hope the new phone doesn't have a curved back like all the pictures.
I like the look of the Iphone 4 and hate the mute slider on the Ipad.
All I want is a bigger screen, better camera, faster processor and more memory.

Which leaves the only concern left being clarify of calls.
I went on a drive on my lunch and received my first call through the TomTom kit today. What I can say is that the speaker clarity was good and the mic picked up my voice suprisingly good for the distance I had it from the driver's seat. I had it mounted on the windshield. However, I did find myself talking a bit louder than normal to ensure the mic would pick up everything, and it did. Throughout the conversation, the person I was talking on the phone with never asked me to repeat anything. I was able to carry on a conversation throughout my drive as I normally would in my car - hands free :p
The speaker volume on the TomTom kit leaves a little bit to desired in my opinion. I found myself constantly moving the volume switch up, but wasn't sure it was on its highest setting because it isn't a 'dial' type adjuster. Although the speaker was loud enough to hear, I wanted it a little louder. However, this may be because my car does not dampen road noise very well. I'm sure your sedan will be much quiter and the speaker volume will be adequate. The speaker quality is clear enough to hold a conversation.

But one is that a trap activates as soon as you attempt to leave the room. The only way to avoid a trap is to explore the room, which will discover, and disarm, the trap.
With that said, there are currently nothing placed on the map by the villain. He will make his first move after you slow-pokes are done ;)
I'm confused. Are you saying that the villain gets to listen to our conversations and then place the traps? Can he place a trap in the room we're in right now? If so, should this planning be done via PM?
