Her producer/actor/rapper husband Nick Cannon has said that she recorded songs for a new album while she was pregnant with twins Monroe and Moroccan.
He told the New York Daily News that the pregnancy inspired her to work and she'll release a new album in a few months.
Cannon said, '"She's been working away, and we have a studio in the crib, and the pregnancy has totally inspired her on so many different levels. You're definitely gonna see some new phenomenal music from Mariah."
This will be the first album from the platinum-selling star since 2009's Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel.
Cannon also said that her 2005 single 'We Belong Together' was playing when she gave birth, although she first wanted to have a live version of 'Fantasy' going "so they came out to a round of applause".
